This particular video is a take on UGC marketing strategy
For our marketing channels, we utilised social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Xiaohongshu and Lemon8. 2-5 days after the posts were published, we reviewed the posts' engagements through creator insights. By doing so, we can analyse the data collected and identify which posts did well (or didn't) and why.
Special thanks to
Mr Michael Chua, Palms Bistro's owner for giving us permission to base our capstone project on a "re-envisioned" Palms Bistro
and...to Sarah and Danish for helping me bring this concept to life
This particular video is a take on UGC marketing strategy
- We did not hire an influencer due to a lack of budget so I acted as a content creator
- I adopted a Gen-Z style of vlogging, used 0.5x feature in the shots, and had fast cuts for each scene,
- The font and language used makes the content more relatable and authentic

Shooting and editing this was a refreshing hands-on experience, especially since our assignments are usually theory-based. It allowed me to refine my photography, videography, and video-editing skills. Although post-production took time, I'm satisfied with the outcome, sticking mostly to my proposed documentary-style storytelling. I touched on digitisation, convergence, and the influencer economy, integrating Berry and Schleser's (2014) insight on the accessibility of professional tools via camera phone apps. I also aligned the fast-paced edit with Hsu's (2023) observation on decreasing attention spans. While the 3-minute time constraint limited my ability to explore the oversaturated influencer market and better explain digitisation and convergence, I aimed to make the video as engaging as possible given the scarcity of attention in today's content-saturated environment.

Broadcast Media x Fashion Collaboration
Amio is a fashion film and trailer, incorporating visual references from Who are you Polly Maggoo and Amélie.
Jennie wanted a mini-runway concept which showcased a haute couture show highlighting fashion industry stereotypes (back talking, judgemental whispers, frantic backstage).
Jennie's initial idea was put into perspective and then I built the narrative of our fashion film by combining elements of modern and traditional Filipino culture.
For this project, Joyce and I delegated our roles as follows – she would focus on the technical side of things while I sorted out the creative and administrative work.

The Next Best Dressed is an imagined fashion reality-tv show. Though it never officially aired, I envisioned this series to be quirky and lighthearted.
